E. David Curiel
E. David Curiel is a wine professional turned writer. He has been passionate about wine since a graduate school professor took him under his wing and taught him how to taste.
Instead of following his fellow MBA graduates into lucrative corporate jobs, David immersed himself in the wine business at its domestic nerve center, San Francisco. He has tasted wine with some of the best sommeliers in the country, traveled extensively in domestic and European wine regions, and discussed just about every aspect of fermented grape juice with winemakers from four continents.
In the course of his work, he has also discovered the joy of good food (a must for wine enjoyment), and the importance of sustainable agriculture in nourishing all of the above.
David has earned his living in sales, with over 10 years experience. He is currently freelancing as a wine trader and writer in Seville, Spain.
When not working on his next Suite 101 article, David can be found blogging at Drink Eat Love.
